Notes, notes, notebooks, books, and more notes from the many trainings, seminars, workshops, intensives, hangouts, and even in-person meetings, they are everywhere!
Uncashed checks!
That’s what one of my mentors said about all of the notes that we collect over the years, but never take any action on. Wow! What if I had actually cashed those checks? How would my life be different now?
For starters, I would not JUST NOW be getting into the online entrepreneur’s workplace…you know the one, the office at home, on the beach, on the front porch of the cabin, my office from wherever I choose to work.
Now, don’t misunderstand me, I am a total believer and card carrying entrepreneur…it’s just that I’ve given up on myself at some points in the past and gone BACK to work for someone else. I don’t even want to count the times.
It wasn’t that I was not successful in my business – in any of them. I just was not successful enough to support what I wanted for my life. It wasn’t even the big house, new cars, or fine things, because I had those.
What I didn’t have was a business that would work for me, even if I was not there. I believe that is one of the benefits of this business, it is open twenty-four hours every day, 7 days every week, whether I am at my desk or not.
Residual Income. Automated systems. Strong back office support. Mentors who work to help me be successful. A community of people who genuinely care about others, their dreams, and their prosperity…who care about you, your dreams, and your prosperity. Life is too short to continue exchanging your time and energy doing things that you do not want to do.
Now you ask, what about those uncashed checks? Funny thing, I have notes and packets and information out the wazoo about similar business models. Some of them, I even got brave and dipped my toes in the water.
You see, because I had had a business – not the same type – but had been a business owner no less, I thought I knew what and how to do everything. When I hit a snag, I didn’t go back to my notes. I didn’t reach out to a mentor. I just gave up. That’s a bit sad and embarressing to say.
I do not want to even think about how much money I left on the table. But you know, then is past and I am here now. It is a new time in my life…and I read my notes. When I am working on something and cannot quite get it to work, I hear myself say, “I have that info in my notes somewhere.” Then I open my tablet or notebook and voila, there they are and I can accomplish the task.
