Goals. Do you need them? Well, I cannot speak for you (although I would love to shout a YES! to that question), you have to decide. I know that I need goals. Something to aim for.
Do you feel that goals are frightening? Some people do and I think it could just be the thought of once you put it out there, you have to do something about it. In a sense, writing your goals makes you accountable. Even if you do not share them with anyone else, once you have committed to a goal, you are accountable for your actions, or lack of. It’s like everything in life, it is your choice. Act. Or do not act. Achieve. Or do not achieve.
I found this short clip from Cartoon Studio about the step-by-step process of setting goals. Please take about two and one half minutes to watch it. I think you will enjoy it, and maybe chuckle a little bit.
The goal setting process doesn’t have to be difficult. It doesn’t have to be a big deal. Think about where you want to go and then put the steps in place that will take you there. With goals, you have a way to see your progress. Seeing your progress, even if it is small, can sometimes be the drive that you need to stay motivated and moving forward.
That’s it for today. You see, I can be brief and get right to the point.
Remember these three things. Dream Big. Believe in Yourself. Do the Work. Whatever it takes to get you to the next step. Then to the next step. And the next. Then the next. You get the picture, right? If not, watch the video again!
See you next time,
